Howick Historical Village is a living history museum on 7 acres of grounds and heritage gardens. The museum depicts a settlement in the period from 1840 to 1880 and offers visitors an immersive historical experience.

LIVE DAY | Pagotomania: The great Victorian ice cream craze!

Step back into the 1800s and discover why Victorians went mad for ice cream! Sample custom-made Victorian flavours as you wander the village, meet our costumed characters, and try your hand at traditional games.

Solve the ice-cream trail through our spring gardens, watch the blacksmith at work, and stop by the sweet shop for old-fashioned treats. Bring a picnic or grab lunch at the Homestead Café, a deliciously historic day out for the whole family.
