What we do matters. We are guardians of a unique legacy from the past and a trust for the future. We are entrusted with safekeeping this heritage so that future generations may learn from the past.
Respect for People
We acknowledge daily the people who lived during the 1840-1880’s and their efforts to create a home. We also appreciate and value the countless hours of volunteer labour that have gone into creating this unique and special facility.

We strive to enlighten stimulate every visitor. Our programmes and activities are carefully planned to provide value, service and enjoyment for visitors and thus ourselves.
