Experience the fresh beauty of Spring at Howick Historical Village as the garden bursts into life. Discover how families in the 1800s welcomed the warmer weather, tended their gardens, and embraced the busy season of growth and renewal.
Join us to experience the sights, sounds, and traditions of a Victorian spring. Churn fresh cream into butter, attend a Victorian school lesson, meet the Village beekeeper during a special talk, and discover how bees begin their busy work as flowers bloom.
Enjoy delicious treats including freshly baked bread from the bread oven, sample traditional fare from Puhi Nui Homestead kitchen, and visit the sweet shop stocked with old-fashioned lollies and fudge.
With hands-on games and crafts, live demonstrations, Morris dancers performing at 11.00 am and 12.00 pm, the bagpipe band at 12.30 pm, and plenty of activities for visitors of all ages, this promises to be a delightful Live Day celebrating the energy and optimism of spring.
Due to popular demand from past events, we've added a perfume workshop to this Spring fete!
